FR Le débarquement en Normandie entraîne la mobilisation d'une grande partie de la Résistance provençale. Le 6 juin 1944, les FFI mobilisent plusieurs centaines d’hommes, notamment dans le massif de Siou Blanc. La ferme (bergerie) de Siou Blanc sert au ralliement des forces résistantes de l'Ouest Varois, lorsque plus de 400 hommes rejoignent le maquis de Siou Blanc.
Découverte trop tôt, la résistance sera pourchassée.
Constitué à partir du 7 juin 44, dans l'attente du débarquement promis en Méditerranée, le maquis de Siou Blanc a dû se dissoudre le 16. 8 maquisards seront cependant arrêtés et fusillés le 17 par les Allemands au Castellet, 2 autres tués dans les bois de Méounes.
La stèle se souvient d'eux.

EN The landing in Normandy led to the mobilization of a large part of the Provençal Resistance. On June 6, 1944, the FFI mobilized several hundred men, notably in the massif of Siou Blanc. The Siou Blanc farmhouse (sheepfold) serves to rally the resistant forces of the West Varois, when more than 400 men join the maquis of Siou Blanc.
Discovered too early, resistance will be chased.
Constituted from June 7th, 44, waiting for the landing promised in the Mediterranean, the maquis of Siou Blanc had to dissolve the 16. 8 maquisards will however be arrested and shot on the 17th by the Germans at Castellet, 2 others Killed in the woods of Méounes.
The stele remembers them.
