DE: Sinziger Schloss,

Zur Sicherung der Reichsstadt Sinzig genehmigte Markgraf Wilhelm V. von Jülich am 8. Juli 1337 den Bau einer Wasserburg außerhalb der Stadtmauern, 1348 fertiggestellt. Seit 1563 immer wieder Erweiterungs- und Ausbesserungsarbeiten, Umbau als Schloss, Nutzung als Witwensitz des kurpfälzischen Fürstenhauses. 1689 beim Abzug der Franzosen zerstört; Gelände mit Ruine wurde 1794 von französischen Revolutionstruppen eingezogen, 1806 verkauft.
1854-58 Bau des heutigen Schlosses als standesgemäßer Sommersitz der Kaufmannsfamilie Bunge. Architekt: Kirchenbaumeister Vinzenz Statz, Parkanlagen: Josef Lenné, Innenausmalung durch Carl Christian Andreae, Maler der "Nazarener Schule" Schwager des Bauherrn.
1954 im Eigentum der Stadt Sinzig, Nutzung als Ratssaal, heute Standesamt, seit 1956 zugleich Heimatmuseum.

In order to secure the imperial city of Sinzig, Margrave Wilhelm V of Jülich, on July 8, 1337, approved the construction of a water castle outside the city walls, completed in 1348. Since 1563 again and again expansion and reconstruction work, reconstruction as a castle, use as a widow seat of the prince-Palatinate house. 1689 destroyed during the withdrawal of the French; Terrain with ruin was drafted by French Revolution troops in 1794, sold in 1806.
1854-58 Construction of today's castle as a stable summer residence of the Kaufmannsfamilie Bunge. Architect: Kirchenbaumeister Vinzenz Statz, parking: Josef Lenné, interior painting by Carl Christian Andreae, painter of the "Nazarene school" brother-in-law of the builder.
1954 in the property of the town Sinzig, use as a council hall, today local office, since 1956 at the same time Heimatmuseum.
