On 25. of October 2015 Jutta Menzner (1968-2015) had mounted the cliff above the devil's hole and fell 17 metres deep.
She was recovered by the fire brigade, but passed away in hospital just hours after the accident.

Members of the "Kölner Alpenverein" (Cologne Alpine Club) established the plaque to her memory on a rock directly by the hiking-trail near the turn-off of the path below "Teufelsloch".

The plaque says:
