From the Sisters Ranger Station, travel generally NNW on US20 for 1.6 miles to the corner on the left.

Based on field measured GPS UTM grid coordinates, the present sixteenth corner bears S2.1°E from T14S R10E S31 E 1/16 COR, WAYPOINT WMVREN, 1330' distant.
Type of survey mark: 3" brass cap on a steel pipe; rising 3"

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
The sixteenth corner is W, about 0.4 miles from the centerline of US20 in a fence line. There are PROPERTY BOUNDARY and LAND SURVEY MARKER decals on a Carsonite post which bears NE, 12" distant. There are PROPERTY BOUNDARY and LAND SURVEY MONUMENT signs mounted on a U-post which bears E, 28" from the corner. Found two ponderosa pines with partly healed, scribed blazes and yellow BEARING TREE tags. There is also an ATTENTION sign on the tree in the NE quadrant.


What property is this mark defining?:
Deschutes National Forest land NE from the corner, else private property; see also survey CS00090 filed in the Deschutes County Surveyors office.
