This sign board explains the importance of the Columbia Wetlands for migratory birds which include nesting duck and blue heron, and the preservation of native grasslands and trees in the area.
The Columbia Wetlands is one the largest contiguous wetland habitats in North America and provides a protected habitat for wildlife in the area including moose, bear, elk and beaver.
