From the Sisters Ranger Station, travel generally NNW on US20 for 2.1 miles. Turn left onto Crossroads Road and continue about 0.3 miles to the corner on the left.

Based on field measured GPS UTM grid coordinates, the present sixteenth corner bears N88.7°E from T14S R10E S31 C 1/4 COR, WAYPOINT WMVREF, 1300' distant.
Type of survey mark: 3" brass cap on a steel pipe; rising 1"

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
The sixteenth corner is E, about 810' from the centerline of Crossroads Road at a wood lath stake. There are PROPERTY BOUNDARY and LAND SURVEY MARKER decals on a Carsonite post which bears W, 18" from the corner. Found two ponderosa pines with partly healed blazes and yellow BEARING TREE tags. One has a LAND SURVEY MONUMENT sign on the backside, the other an ATTENTION sign.


What property is this mark defining?:
Private property SE from the corner, else Deschutes National Forest land; see also survey CS00090 filed in the Deschutes County Surveyors office.
