From the Sisters Ranger Station, travel generally NNW on US20 for 2.4 miles to the corner on the left.
Based on field measured GPS UTM grid coordinates, the present quarter corner bears S88.3°W from T14S R10E S30 31 E 1/16 COR, WAYPOINT WMVR3M, 1306' distant.
Type of survey mark: 2-5/8" brass cap on a steel pipe; rising 5"
What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
The quarter corner is W, about 0.2 miles from the centerline of US20. There are PROPERTY BOUNDARY and LAND SURVEY MARKER decals on a Carsonite post which bears S, 38" distant. There is a PROPERTY BOUNDARY sign mounted on a U-post which bears W, 45" from the corner. There is a 6' tall 4x4" pressure treated post which bears WSW, 15" from the corner. Found two ponderosa pines with partly healed, scribed blazes and the usual complement of metal signs.
