Family - Invermere, British Columbia - Figurative Public Sculpture on Waymarking.com

Family is an interesting sculpture placed in a small flowerbed toward the east end of the cemetery. This is most likely a new addition as the memorial walls and the columbarium are also new. The sculpture is well made and is of a family embraced in a circle. The sculpture is made of granite and is about 6 feet in height. There are no defining features of the family members. The artist and placement are unknown.

Mount View Cemetery is very well maintained with chain link fencing and large trees around the perimeter.

The newer section of the cemetery the grave markers are flush to the ground. There are many veterans interred here and some still had the traditional red poppy place near their grave markers to recognize those who served in the Canadian armed forces.

The cemetery is about 3 acres and there are approximately 730 known interments. Newly added are two memorial walls for those to be remembered. One is specifically for children, with no plaques when we visited the cemetery.
