In der Stadt Wangen zählte man bis zu 21 Brunnen.
Ein Vielzahl der Brunnen waren aus Eisenguß gefertigt.
Der Brunnen der seinen Platz auf dem Postplatz hinter dem Rathaus hat wurde 1880 von der Eisengießerei G. Kuhn in Stuttgart-Berg gefertigt.
