Leybourne Lakes Country Park which was opened in 2004, was created from disused gravel pits that have been flooded and landscaped to make fishing and wildlife lakes.
The park consistes of several lakes with footpath and cycle paths around them all. It is a lovely place to spend some time. As with all parks they have benches scattered around to sit on.
This one is dedicated to Audrey Thomas.
The inscription carved into the wooden back reads:
"In Loving Memory of Audrey Thomes 1937 ~ 2016"
Underneath that is a seperate dedication which says
"Son Paul 1959 ~ 2012"
