This modern stone fountain is located in front of the Roman Catholic church of Breitenbach.

EN: This fountain stands in front of the Catholic church of Breitenbach on the edge of the road. It has a square trough of about four meters in diameter, which is recessed into the ground. In the center it has a stone sculpture and there are various objects on the borders, all of raw limestone. I could not find any details. Maybe, they symbolize something from the geological history of the area, some structures remind of mountain ranges and the object to which the water pipe is attached could be an ammonite. I could neither find the artist nor the year of origin.
DE: Dieser Brunnen steht vor der katholischen Kirche von Breitenbach am Strassenrand. Er ghat einen quadratischen Trog von etwa vier Metern Durchmesser, der in den Boden eingelassen ist. In der Mitte steht eine Steinskulptur und auf dem Rand befinden sich verschiedene Gegenstände, alle aus roh behauenem Kalkstein. Ich konnte keine Details herausfinden. Möglicherweise symbolisieren sie etwas aus der geologischen Geschichte der Gegend, einige Strukturen erinnern an Bergzüge und der Gegenstand an dem die Wasserleitung angebracht ist, könnte ein Ammonit sein. Auch den Künstler und das Entstehungsjahr konnte ich nicht finden.
