This painted barn quilt is located inbetween Jacksonburg and Houghton Centre, Ontario at a Wind Farm Viewing Area owned by Sand Hill Park.

"This quilt pattern was inspired by a quilt that has belonged to the homeowners’ family for four generations. John Alton and his wife Margaret Walker settled in Houghton in 1854 and built the house presently on this property. The Walkers originally came to Houghton from Scotland in 1820. Thomas Alton, John’s father, came from England in 1819 and first settled in Halton County." (visit link)
