This seventeen foot tall, bronze statue is the work of sculptor Doug Hyde. It is the only statue dedicated to the Navajo Code Talkers. It was commissioned through the Heard Museum by the property manager, The Koll Company. The statue incorporates a flute rather than a radio as in many Native American cultures the flute symbolizes the coming of peace and the end of war.
