Abiathar Lawrence built this home. It is a Greek Revival structure, probably designed by Elias Carter. Abiathar lived in this house until his death in 1877. The home was subsequently sold to George Simonds and then to Dr. Geory Henry Lee. It was later owned by the Barre Gazette Publishers who printed a local paper on premises from 1933 to 1950. Today it is a private residence
