[FR] Foudroyé, le "Marronnier du Tricentenaire" est devenu dangereux, ses branches ont été taillées à ras du tronc. A partir de celui-ci, l'artiste Cédric Faymonville, a créé une sculture originale à la tronçonneuse à l'occasion de la fête des Géants du 21 mars 2015.
La Ville de Nivelles a planté le même jour plusieurs jets provenant du Vieux Marronnier de la place de Baulers, âgé aujourd'hui 337 ans. Ce dernier jouit d'une reconnaissance à titre d'arbre remarquable de Wallonie. Il mesure 392 cm de circonférence et 15 m de haut. Il a été planté le 3 janvier 1680.
[EN] Blighted, the "Chestnut of the Tricentenary" has become dangerous, its branches have been cut close to the trunk. From this one, the artist Cédric Faymonville, created an original chainsaw culture on the occasion of the Giants' Day of 21 March 2015.
On the same day, the City of Nivelles planted several jets from the Old Marronnier in the Place de Baulers, now 337 years old. The latter enjoys recognition as a remarkable tree of Wallonia. It measures 392 cm in circumference and 15 m in height. It was planted on 3 January 1680.
