"On Monday, council voted to move ahead with the designing phase of the rehab project. To that nearly million dollar designing phase cost, the city would have to contribute $10,500. Of the estimated $6.625 million project cost, the city would contribute $87,000."
"The 80-year-old bridge was last rehabbed in 1999. Ryckman says this project will likely be the last time the bridge is rehabbed before simply being replaced completely. Meaning, there's a lot of issues currently, and the bridge is aging quickly due to the elements and heavy usage."
