Le viaduc des Latins est bâti en pierres en 1882-1887, pour le chemin de fer d’Apt à Volx et une route. Le manque de sécurité sur le chantier entraîna l’effondrement d’un échafaudage et la mort de sept ouvriers.
technique
Construit sur un tracé courbe, haut de 36 m, long de 136 m, il repose sur sept arches de 13 m. Dès que le train s'est arrêté de fonctionner en 1955, en 1960 des trottoirs sont ajoutés.
Anecdote
L’inauguration ayant coïncidé avec la fête des Latins, le viaduc porte en dédicace des inscriptions écrites dans toutes les langues romanes et les différents dialectes occitans.

The viaduct of the Latins is built of stones in 1882-1887, for the railway from Apt to Volx and a road. The lack of safety on the site led to the collapse of a scaffold and the death of seven workers.
Technical
Built on a curve, 36 m high, 136 m long, it rests on seven arches of 13 m. As soon as the train stopped operating in 1955, in 1960 sidewalks were added.
Trivia
The inauguration coincided with the feast of the Latins, the viaduct carries in dedication inscriptions written in all the Romance languages and the various Occitan dialects.
