The mural is a timeline of early settlement in the area.

Timeline begins at the back corner of the building with a group of Karankawa Indians.

Next panel is of settlers with covered wagons, log cabins, and horse drawn plows entitled “Steve F. Austin’s colony in Jackson County, 1824 Six Immortal Family Pioneers”.

The next panel is of a flat barge poled by two men, and a small steamboat entitled “Settlers arriving in Jackson County by steamboad to flatboat, 1831”.

The next panel is of a white settler seated with some Indians entitled “Mr. Francis G. Keller at Indian Motte with Karankawas and unofficial Big Tree Treaty 1830s”

The next panel is of a house with people gathered on the front porch and a wagon in the yard entitled “Lavaca-Navidad Meeting, William Millican Gin House, July 17, 1835”

The next panel is of a large sailing ship surrounded by small boats entitled “Major George Sutherland and Jackson County citizens capturing Mexican supplies at the mouth of the Lavaca River, 1835”

The next panel is of a man attacking four seated men in front of a tent entitled “Herman Eherenberg, lone hero of Goliad massacre, facing Urrea’s Army at Texana, March 1836”

The next panel is of two men dueling entitled “ Generals Albert Sidney Johnson and Felix Huston duel, Feb. 5, 1837”

The next panel is of a man wearing only a loincloth entitled “Wild Man of the Navidad 1840-1850”.

The last panel on the side of the building shows a general store, a house and a locomotive entitled “Brackenride Store and home Texana 1840s, first county seat.

Turn the corner and there is another locomotive and a coal car with buildings entitled “Two trains meet at Edna for selling of the lots, New York-Texas-Mexican Line. 11:30 am, July 2, 1882”.

The next panel extends up to the top of the building and is of a lovely old courthouse which has since been destroyed entitle “Old Courthouse”

On the other side of the entrance door is a panel that is cactus and gives the information that the mural was sponsored by Chapter No. 24 of the Sons of the Republic of Texas.

The last panel also extends up to the top of the building and shows horse and buggy and two old cars parked along a street of shops entitled “Old Edna”.
