USDA 'T4N R7E S9 S10 S15 S16 2001' Section Corner - Modoc County, CA - Public Land Survey Marks on Waymarking.com

I recovered this U.S. Dept. of Agriculture Forest Service section corner from 2001 in good condition. This section corner is located at Township 42 North, Range 7 East and divides Sections 9, 10, 15 and 16 in Modoc County. The monument is comprised of a 3.5" aluminum cap monumented on top of an aluminum post projecting about 10 inches above the ground and surrounded by a rocky cairn and about 7 feet south of a metal fence line going east-west. There are two nearby metal property boundary posts that aid in recovery as well as two nearby bearing trees trees with metal bearing cards noting this section corner's coordinates. My posted GPS coordinates should place you very close to this station.
