While there is a hot spring,
Fairmont Hot Springs, to the south and another,
Radium Hot Springs, to the north, Invermere is on a lake, Windermere Lake, so it manages to garner its fair share of the tourist dollars that flow into the area. This could explain the size of the Invermere Hostel, which is quite large.
Open all year, the hostel has free Wi-Fi and free long distance phone calls within Canada & the Continental US, pool tables and a TV area. Their website makes no mention of the number of rooms they have. Rates run from about $40 for a single bed to $140 for a 6 person room, including taxes.
