Completed in 1849, for the congregation that formed in 1827. This was the 2nd church for the Evangelical Congregational Society. The land for the building was donated by Harding P Wood. It is painted clapboard and the style is Greek Revival. There is a 3 stage steeple on the church that was rebuilt in 1915. It was replaced again in 1928 due to wind damage. It is now the Church of Christ and has played an active part in the community since its founding.
