The Pferdeturm (in engl. Horsetower) was build in 1387. It secured a passage through the 14th-century city wall. The council maintained a horse and foal stable here. Next to the Pferdeturm stands the Eisstadion am Pferdeturm (ice rink at the horse-tower).
