EN: The transformer sub-station Biel stands near a footpath on the border between the residential area and the agricultural zone in the south-west of Reigoldswil.
The tower has a rectangular floor plan and three floors. There are four air holes each in the gables below the bent saddle roof. On the south side, there are still high-voltage power lines attached. The insulators for the low-voltage wires are still mounted, but they are no longer in use.
The station was built in 1916 as a replacement for an older station. The architect was Wilhelm Brodtbeck.
DE: Die Transformatoren-Station Biel befindet sich einem Fussweg an der Grenze zwischen dem Wohngebiet und der Landwirtschaftszone im Südwesten von Reigoldswil.
Der Turm hat einen rechteckigen Grundriss und drei Stockwerke. In den Giebelseiten unter dem geknickten Satteldack befinden sich je vier Luftlöcher. An der Südseite sind noch Starkstromleitungen angebracht. Die Isolatoren für die Niederspannungsleitungen sind noch da, wedern aber nicht mehr benutzt.
Die Station wurde 1916 als Ersatz für eine ältere Station gebaut. Der Architekt war Wilhelm Brodtbeck.
