A series of six bronze relief panels depicting the History of the Royal Dockyard. Forms part of the Town Trail project, by the Pembroke Dock Townscape Heritage Initiative.
The panels were carved in Bath Stone by Sculptor Perry Butler, & then cast in bronze. The panels looked so like tinted stone, I had to step up to them & touch to confirm they were bronze.
On a descriptive bi-lingual plaque below this Bronze panel, the Era is described as late Victorian, gives the panel title as: 'Riveting In The Big Shed'.
Showing Two riveter's on a platform in the stepped dock, working on the ribs of a new iron ship.
The Bronze relief panel is displayed on the former Dockyard wall,
along Front Street, with the Martello Tower in the background.
