The North Grosvenordale Mill, also known as Mill No. 2, was built in
1872. Built of brick , it is four stories tall, has a shallow-pitched hip roof. The North Grosvenordale Mill specialized in fine cottons and became one of the largest textile mills in Connecticut.
Originally powered by water the mill was converted to steam and gas boilers.
