Campbell Myer Rest Area sets back off the highway and nestled among tall trees and nearby the very picturesque Campbell Myer Lake.
The rest area is actually quite large with plenty of parking. There are bathrooms and picnic tables available for that much needed break from the drone of the highway. It is very peaceful here and enjoy a leisurely walk to the lake edge.
When we were there two mallard ducks were swimming by taking no notice of us. It was mid April when we were there, and the ducks most likely prepared their nesting spot in the nearby grass. By early summer you will see Mamma duck and her brood following close behind.
