John Thomas Herring (1865-1947) who was 10 years her senior, and who was born at the end of the US Civil War and lived until a couple of years after World War II.
John died when Liddie was 71 years old. She continued on for another 31+ years after John died; herself passing away on 22 October 1978, having passed 103 years old.
