James Walter Baughman was born on 29 June 1879. He outlived two wives. His first wife,
Addie Sarah Hildreth (1884-1927) was about 5 years younger than him. They had 3 children together, and she passed away at about 42 years old. She is buried in Kansas.
"Walter" then married Elva Hattie (or Hattie Elva?) McVey (1892-1976) who was about 13 years younger than him. She passed away when Walter was 97 years old. He continued on another 4 years, passing away on 20 December 1980, having reached 101 years old earlier that year.
