The previous record of 3,311 scarecrows was held in Cincinnati.
Visitors to the farm were invited to take part in the record attempt by taking in a ready made scarecrow or alternatively making one on site for just £1. There was also a prize for the best scarecrow.
The record attempt was part of a wider scarecrow theme that year, celebrating the launch of the farm's eleventh annual 10-acre maize maze, with designs is inspired by Julia Donaldson book The Scarecrow’s Wedding.
The scarecrows are no longer on the site and animals graze in the fields where the scarecrows were situated. The Guinness world record certificate can be seen on the wall near the inside play area and exit to the covered picnic area.
Tractor and trailer rides around the farm are also available - look out for the wooden scarecrows along the way.
