Seven Magic Mountains are the work of artist Ugo Rondinone, who specializes in larger outdoor art pieces. The brightly coloured 35-foot stacks of boulders are visible for miles.
Love them or hate them, they are definitely a topic of conversation! My impression was of containers of kids playdough stacked on top of each other.
Access is from Las Vegas Blvd South from exit 12 at Sloan, or alternatively, from exit 11 at Jean. Head north on LVB.
There is a small parking area. Watch out for the seemingly random cement curbs in the middle of the lot. From there it is a short walk.
For those so inclined, there is a Letterbox and a geocache located here (though not close together!)
