EN: The World War I monument of Rhina is located in a small park on the Säckinger Strasse, next to the Catholic church of the Virgin Mary (which is a few decades younger than the monument).

The monument consists of a masonry column with a cross pattée atop. In front of it stands the bronze figure of a young woman with a girl in her arms, who is hanging up a wreath. Next to it the inscription: "The municipality of Rhina / to its warriors / 1914 - 1918 / in gratitude". In the pedestal is a list of the fallen citizens of Rhina.

The monument itself is not dated, but it must have been erected before 1933, since after that Rhina became a district of Laufenburg and was no longer a municipality. Also the peaceful style suggests an early period before the Nazi era.

Daneben steht: "Die Gemeinde Rhina / Ihren Kriegern / 1914 – 1918 / in Dankbarkeit". Im Sockel ist eine Liste der gefallenen Bürger von Rhina.

Das Denkmal selbst ist nicht datiert, es muss aber vor 1933 entstanden sein, da Rhina danach ein Stadtteil von Laufenburg wurde und keine Gemeinde mehr war. Auch der friedfertige Stil deutet auf eine frühe Entstehungszeit vor der Nazi-Ära.
