skulpturen er fra 1869 og det er en Vandskulptur af zink, der er en Kopi af bronzeskulptur i Kongens Have. Originalen er fra 1837.

Placering: Jessens Mole, placeret i rundt bassin. Ved broen over til Frederiksøen.
Fakta: Skulpturen var oprindeligt placeret ud for Brogades udmunding på havnen, men blev flyttet, da man anlagde et nyt færgeleje. Købt af byen som markering af oprettelsen af Svendborgs første vandværk og vandforsyning.

The boy and the swan
Artist: Herman Ernst Freund. Sculptor, 1786-1840.
Date: 1869
Type: Water sculpture of zinc, boy with swan. Copy of bronze sculpture in Kongens Have. The original is from 1837.
Location: Jessens Mole, located around the basin. By the bridge over to Frederiksøen.
Fact: The sculpture was originally located next to Brogade's mouth at the harbor, but was moved when a new ferry was established. Bought by the city as a mark of the creation of Svendborg's first waterworks and water supply.
