The nature center building contains dioramas and ecosystem interpretive exhibits.

On the grounds of the arboretum are three outdoor classrooms, one set in a ring of trees in the forest, one overlooking a pond and meadow ecosystem, and one overlooking a typical forest/bayou ravine.

Near the nature center building are outdoor interpretive exhibits detailing the mammals, birds, trees, plants, amphibians, reptiles, insects, shrubs and vines one might encounter on the five miles of hiking trails.

Educational programs are offered for both children and adults, including popular night adventures.
