FR La ville de Manosque a fait restaurer le Couvent de Présentation datant du xixe siècle. Le peintre Jean Carzou est chargé de réaliser une fresque de l'Apocalypse selon Saint-Jean achevée en juin 1991. L'éclairage des vitraux met en valeur les fonds à dominante bleu-vert de la fresque. L'abside, les destructions et massacres réalisés par l'homme sont représentés dans l'aile gauche du chœur qui annonce la reconstruction du monde. L'aile droite est consacré à la femme.
Les vitraux de l'église avec voûte à caissons, frise et colonne antiques dépeignent les guerres de Vendée et de Napoléon. Les grands génocides de l'histoire - massacre des Indiens d'Amériques, des Arméniens par les turcs en 1915, la Saint-Barthélemy à Paris et les camps de concentration - sont incarnés par les quatre cavaliers de l'Apocalypse.
Depuis 1991, la chapelle abrite la Fondation Carzou, un centre culturel reconnu d’utilité publique basé sur l’œuvre testamentaire du peintre Carzou, à savoir L’Apocalypse.
En The town of Manosque has restored the Convent of Presentation dating from the nineteenth century. The painter Jean Carzou is commissioned to create a fresco of the Apocalypse according to Saint John completed in June 1991. The lighting of the stained glass windows emphasizes the predominantly blue-green backgrounds of the fresco. The apse, the destruction and the massacres carried out by the man are represented in the left wing of the choir which announces the reconstruction of the world. The right wing is dedicated to the woman.
The stained glass windows of the church with coffered vault, antique frieze and column depict the wars of Vendée and Napoleon. The great genocides of history - the massacre of the Indians of the Americas, the Armenians by the Turks in 1915, the St. Bartholomew in Paris and the concentration camps - are embodied by the four horsemen of the Apocalypse.
Since 1991, the chapel is home to the Fondation Carzou, a recognized cultural center of public utility based on the testamentary work of the painter Carzou, namely L'Apocalypse.
