The War Memorial in the churchyard of St.Mary's is a slender octagonal shaft on a square base mounted on a three step plinth. It carries a budded latin cross on an orb. The cross is surrounded on three sides by a box hedge and can be found to the south-west of the church towards the fence encircling the churchyard.
The west face of the base carries the names of those who fell in WW1, the dedication and names are inscribed rather feintly, reading:-
IN LASTING MEMORY OF
Benjamin Boggis Augustus Neave
George Capry John Neave
Albert Fox Richard -–wne
James Graver Leonard Southgate
Henry Green Bertie Vertigan
William Green Cecil West
1914 - 1918.
Arthur Boggis
The south face carries the names of the fallen from WW2 and is much easier read. It reads:-
Basil Brown John Graver
Edgar Brown Maurice Kingsford
Nicholas Durham Dorothy Roffe
1939 - 1945
