The soda fountain (ice cream fountain) is the front part of the building. the Flower shop is in the rear portion.
This was once the 4th St. Fountain, with an old fashioned ice cream and sode dispensing, and small tables to sit and enjoy.
That part still exists, the rear portion has become a popular flower shop, catering mainly to wedding and funerals...with the funeral parlor about 1 block away.
"The people at Broadway Flowers and Fountain are friendly! It's a great place to stop in and get an old fashioned fountain soda or maybe even a sweet treat! During lunch, they have food and on the weekends, they usually have barbecue! The flower store part of it is in the back, so it doesn't really interfere with the soda fountain part of it. Along with food and drink, there are also a few small gift items you can purchase! In a small town like Elsberry, a place like this is lovely!
