A sculpture of a cowboy riding a horse and roping a calf is mounted on a tall base. The cowboy stands in the stirrup on the right side of his horse, twirling a rope at a calf that runs in front of him.

The sculpture is enclosed in a structure of wire mesh with a tin roof. On the base is a relief plaque shaped like an ornate belt buckle. Below is a relief of a standing cowboy holding a coiled rope in his right hand and leaning on a railing with his left arm.
Next to the cowboy are names of award winners.
