This bench is located on the south side of the Headingley Grand Trunk Trail just west of Wescana Street.
Herb Burnell was a resident of Headingley who loved the outdoors. He worked at Sears for 35 years.
The plaque reads:
Herbert Robert Burnell (1934-2007)
was a kind man who loved the great outdoors. We are
all better people for having known him. For all his
genius, generosity and love, Herb's greatest legacy
to us is his advice: "As long as you are happy,
nothing else really matters."
