Les eaux usées des usagers sont collectées pour être amenées à la station d’épuration de St-Louans où elles font l’objet d’un traitement permettant d’éliminer la pollution reçue. Cette installation respecte ainsi l’arrêté préfectoral fixant la qualité de rejet à obtenir pour un impact minimal sur la Vienne. Les « boues » issues de l’épuration des eaux usées, font l’objet, après contrôle, d’une valorisation agricole.

In Chinon, the management of drinking water and sanitation was entrusted to a service provider, Veolia, under a public service delegation contract dated 01 January 2010, for an eight-year period .
The users' wastewater is collected to be brought to the St-Louans wastewater treatment plant where they are treated to eliminate the pollution received. This installation thus respects the prefectural decree fixing the quality of discharge to be obtained for a minimal impact on the Vienne. The "sludge" resulting from the purification of wastewater, are the object, after control, of an agricultural valorization.
