Eagle Slough is a natural preserve area in Evansville, IN. The area is a 127 acre wetland ran by the Wesselman Woods Nature Society, Vanderburgh County Soil & Water Conservation District and other conservation organizations. The Slough is just north of the state line between Indiana and Kentucky.
The walking trail is approximately 1/2 mile long of a graveled path. There are other trails that turn off of this main walking path. The path leads from a parking area to a lake on the northern end of the property, where there is a newly built observation deck built for birding and wildlife observation.
The trailhead is located on the southern edge of the property off of Waterworks Road, which is closed at times for high water.
