Die Geschichte
Der historische Gasthof „Zum Alten Wirt" wird in einer Urkundenaufstellung von 1676 dergestalt erwähnt, dass er bereits im Jahre 1417 an einen neuen Besitzer übergeben worden war. Damit ist er das älteste Gasthaus auf heutigem Münchner Stadtgebiet!
Die Entstehung verdankt die Tafernwirtschaft sicherlich ihrer geographischen Lage direkt neben der Dorfkirche St.Georg und der ehemaligen Würmfurt an der alten Landstrasse von München über Obermenzing und Lochhausen nach Fürstenfeldbruck und Augsburg.
Die heutige Gestalt der Wirtschaft, die nahezu unverändert die Jahrhunderte überstanden hatte, wurde in den Jahren 1589/90 geschaffen.
Zur damaligen Zeit war der „Alte Wirt" noch das größte Bauerngut mit über 200 Tagwerk Grund, verteilt von Obermenzing bis Aubing, Augustenfeld, Günding und Pasing.
Nach einer wechselvollen Geschichte mit vielen kurzzeitigen Besitzern bzw. späteren Eigentümern konnte im Jahre 1985 das Bauunternehmerehepaar Inge und Max Kerscher das Anwesen käuflich erwerben und von Grund auf sanieren. So sind die Jagdstube, die Kirchenstube, das Gewölbe und letztendlich der große Bauernsaal im Obergeschoß entstanden und renoviert worden.
In letzter Zeit wurde der rückwärtige Stadel saniert und der Biergarten nach Süden vergrößert. Auch der Rest der Maibaumwiese gegenüber dem „Alten Wirt" konnte wieder dem Wirtshausbesitz zugefügt werden, sodass der Parkplatz und der Standort des Maibaums für alle Zeiten gesichert sind.
Seit 2004 ist die bewährte Wirtsfamilie Renate und Manfred Schlegl mit ihrer guten und frischen bayerischen Küche im Einsatz und sie sorgen für freundliche Bedienung und eine familiäre und gemütliche Atmosphäre in den ehrwürdigen Räumen.
Der Alte Wirt ist ein Treffpunkt für die ganze Familie sein mit gemütlicher Atmosphäre

The historical guesthouse "Zum Alten Wirt" is mentioned in a documentary edition of 1676, that it was handed over to a new owner in 1417, making it the oldest guest house in today's Munich city district!
The development of the Tafern economy owes its geographic location directly beside the village church of St.Georg and the former Würmfurt on the old country road from Munich via Obermenzing and Lochhausen to Fürstenfeldbruck and Augsburg.
The present form of the economy, which had survived the centuries almost unchanged, was created in the years 1589/90.
At that time, the "Alte Wirt" was still the largest farm estate with over 200 day work grounds, distributed from Obermenzing to Aubing, Augustenfeld, Günding and Pasing.
After an eventful history with many short-term owners or later owners in 1985 the builder couple Inge and Max Kerscher were able to buy the property and to clean it from the ground up. The hunting lodge, the church room, the vault and, finally, the large peasant room on the upper floor have been built and renovated.
Recently, the rear barn has been renovated and the beer garden has been enlarged to the south. The remainder of the maypole meadow opposite the "Altenwirt" was once again to be added to the property, so that the parking space and the location of the maypole are secured for all time.
Since 2004 the tried and tested family Renate and Manfred Schlegl with their good and fresh Bavarian cuisine are in operation and they ensure friendly service and a family and cozy atmosphere in the venerable rooms.
