The Santa Fe Freight Depot is located at W Alamo Street at the TX SH 36 on the western edge of downtown Brenham TX. The size of this freight depot in such a small town (and the fact that it is one of 2 large freight depots here -- the ohter served the Houston & Texas Central RR) testify to Brenham's history as an important rail shipping point.
