Just south of the Kicking Horse River, along 10th Avenue North one will spy this benchmark on one of two bridges here.

Over the Kicking Horse River in downtown Golden are a pair of bridges over two channels of the river. The north channel is bridged by a small steel truss bridge while the south channel is bridged by a much smaller concrete and steel girder bridge. 68C138 was monumented in 1968 in the south face of the southwest corner post of the south bridge, about one foot above sidewalk level.

Cpr steel "i" beam bridge over kicking horse river at junction with fisher road on the way to golden airport, tablet in top of retaining wall at southeast corner of bridge, 13.9 m north of centre line of fisher road, 3.6 m east of centre line of most easterly track, 22 cm west of east edge, 17 cm north of south end. Slightly below track level.
