This is Tucson's only Midtown brewpub, located in a shopping center at East Grant and North Swan Roads. They have a good amount of space, and a fairly large outdoor patio.
They have four flagship beers: Dew Point Dunkel (lager, not weizen), Salida del Sol (Vienna lager), Icebreak IPA, and 1811 Desert Blonde (and they make a shandy with this one, adding lemonade). Be on the lookout for seasonal offerings and guest brews: At the time we visited, they were doing Overhaul, a chili pepper beer with six peppers, including Habañero and Ghost peppers, with all proceeds going to Firefighters vs. Autism. They also had four additional brews going, and oddly, Oskar Blues Old Chub on draft (when it's 90° outside?). For those who aren't big on beer, they have a small wine selection and a few cocktails. Soft drinks are available, including their own root beer.
Food can be a little "foo-foo", but not to the point that you wonder what it is that you're eating. Their menu also has suggested pairings for which beer to enjoy with a particular dish. While wine has its place, those who really know their beer know that a terrific beer can really bring out the best in a good meal. They do have appetizers, as well as sandwiches, salads, burritos, wraps, pizza, and mac and cheese. Both of us thought that the mac and cheese was totally out of the park wonderful. Ask about their daily specials (some of which get you a cut rate on a drink or two) and their lunch specials. They also have a children's menu, and kids can eat free if they're there with a parent at the right time.
Sixty-four ounce growlers of their beer can be purchased to go, and free, secure wi-fi is available, just ask for the password. TVs are all over the place, if you've just gotta know how your team is doing.
On some nights, they do "Paint Night," where, under the supervision of a professional artist, you can do a little painting while enjoying a beer or cocktail or two. Check their Facebook page for specific dates and times. They also have a website.
