En montant , vous verrez sur votre gauche les vestiges de la maison de maître, la cuisine et la citerne.
Crève Coeur fut une habitation très riche, la maison de maître et du village des travailleurs, qui comptait à l'époque une vingtaine de cases hébergeant plus de 100 travailleurs.
Elle produisait sa propre canne à sucre, et se nourrissait grâce à ses jardins vivriers et son bétail.
L'eau de la maison était stockée dans un vingtaine de grosses jarres dont il reste quelques vestiges.
Au 18e siècle, l’Habitation Crève-cœur comptait parmi les 18 habitations sucrières de la commune de Saint-Anne.
