Das Schwanen-Apotheken-Museum Bad Münstereifel in der Werther Str. 13 - 15 konnte am 6. und 7. Juni 1997 im Gebäude der historischen Schwanen-Apotheke eröffnet werden. Von 1806 bis 1994 führten Mitglieder der Apotheker-Familie Bresgen hier einen Apothekenbetrieb, ehe dieser ins Gewerbegebiet verlagert wurde. Dank der Unterstützung durch die Nordrhein-Westfalen-Stiftung konnte der Förderkreis für Denkmalpflege der Stadt Bad Münstereifel e.V. das Gebäude erwerben, es restaurieren und das Apotheken-Museum einrichten.
Dem Museum vorgelagert ist die Stephinsky-Stube, die an den Apotheker und Ehrenbürger Franz Maria Ferdinand Stephinsky erinnert. Zum eigentlichen Schwanen-Apotheken-Museum gehören dann die Offizin, deren Einrichtung seit 1806 nahezu unverändert ist; das Labor, welches mit Gegenständen aus dem 19. Jh. - u.a. einem beeindruckenden Labortisch (Leihgabe des Deutschen Apotheken-Museums Heidelberg) - ausgestattet ist; die Materialkammer, in der der Apotheker früher seine Übervorräte hielt. Letztgenannter Raum ist übrigens mit einer "Riechstraße" ausgestattet worden: Die Schübe der Regalwand sind mit einer Darstellung und Beschreibung der "Drogen" (Heilpflanzen) sowie einer Riechprobe bestückt und laden so jeden Besucher ein, selbst aktiv zu werden. "
