This clock tower is made of sawn sandstone, with dark-brown bricks inserted on the corners. It is placed by the Rotary Club of Raymond Terrace, to commemorate the "Golden Jubilee of Rotary International" in 1955.
The sandstone is a creamy/light brown with some sedimentary layering exposed, with each side having separate slabs. The four clock faces are hidden behind 'Perspex' covers. Each face has twelve black rectangular ticks, for the five minute marks. No numbering, but the 'cardinal' points are a slightly larger thickness.
As at January 2016 there was no hands on the clock faces.
In 2015 there was thick, short hour-hands, and thin, long black minute hands on each of the faces, but none had the correct time.
On one side, at the base, is a locked small access door.
The brown marble plaque on one side of the lock tower reads:
"The Rotary Club of Raymond Terrace
[Rotary International logo]
The Four Way Test
Is it the Truth?
Is it Fair to all concerned?
Will it build Goodwill and better friendships?
Will it be Beneficial to all concerned?
Apply it."
