From the Sisters Ranger Station travel generally W on US20 and ORE242 for about 4.2 miles. Turn right onto FR1012, the Cold Springs Cutoff, continue about 2.0 miles and park. From T14S R9E S23 24 25 26 COR, WAYMARK WMAYFF, hike cross-county 2.5 miles due W to the present quarter corner.
Type of survey mark: 3" brass cap on iron pipe; rising 3"
What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?: Found one ponderosa pine with a LAND SURVEY MONUMENT sign on the backside. There are PROPERTY BOUNDARY and LAND SURVEY MONUMENT signs mounted on a U-post which bears W, 27" from the corner. In addition, there is a faded yellow sign mounted on a T-post which bears E, 9'5" distant.
What property is this mark defining?: private property N from the corner, else Deschutes National Forest land
