The trail is mostly a fire trail with points of interest such as the Illawarra Lookout, Stone Bridge & Cook's Nose off the main track accessible via narrow foot pads or steps. There are signs along the way giving distance to the next location. It is a Grade 3 Walk with some short steep sections, steps & obstacles.
Parking is available at the picnic area a few metres away from the trackhead sign.
