Built in 1935, this dam created a small lake on the edge of LaBolt, SD. It is owned by South Dakota Game, Fish, and Parks. Elevation 1389

When this dam was built, it created a small body of water known as LaBolt Lake. It covers about 8 acres and is a good fishing and water recreation lake.

Fish in the lake include Large mouth bass, crappie, perch, and bluegill.

Amenities include: public toilets, picnic tables, a beach, and primitive camping area.

The dam is of earthen construction. The core is earth. The foundation is soil. Its height is 25 feet with a length of 300 feet. Maximum discharge is 2274 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 100 acre feet. Normal storage is 35 acre feet. It drains an area of 11 square miles.
